Chess Club – Beginning in October, once a week on Wednesdays, Club begins promptly at 7:45am. Drop off is at the front door. Club takes place in Mr. Spencer’s room.

Crochet Club – Starts Sept 20, Twice a month, 1^st, and 3^rd Wednesday of the month. Club takes place right after school in Ms. Wood’s room (906) and ends promptly at 5pm. Pick up is in the regular Car Rider Line.

Page Turners Book Club – Begins, Sept 15, once a month on the 3^rd Friday, Club begins promptly at 8am. Drop off is at the front door. Club takes place in the Media Center.

6^th Grade Science Club – Club is limited to 40 6^th grade students. Once a month on the 2^nd Tuesday, Sept – April. Club begins after school in the Cafeteria and ends promptly at 5pm. Pick up is in the regular Car Rider Line.

HRMS Run Club – Meets only during Fall Sports Season. Once a week on Tuesdays, Club begins after school in Ms. Ambrose’s room (604) and ends promptly at 5pm. Pick up is at the front door.

Speed Cubing Club – Once a week on Tuesdays, Club begins promptly at 8am. Drop off is at the front door. Club takes place in Ms. Nowack’s room (217).

Art Club – Applications are required and can be submitted through 9/20. 1^st meeting takes place 10/3. Twice a month, on the 1^st and 3^rd Tuesday each month, Club begins after school in Ms. Carpenter’s room (609) and ends promptly at 5pm. Pick up is in the regular Car Rider Line.

Robotics– Applications are required, please see details below. Twice a week on Mondays and Wednesday, Club begins promptly at 7:40am. Drop off is at the front circle. Club takes place in the mobile.

We are excited to announce that Harris Road Middle School will have 6 VEX IQ robotics teams this year. Participation will be open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. The VEX IQ program requires teams to build and program a robot to complete a task revealed each year. All Harris Road Robotics teams will consist of 5 members and meet before school on Monday & Wednesday from 7:40-8:40. Teams will also compete in at least two competition events that usually take up a good portion of a Saturday. Dates are TBD. If your child is chosen for one of Harris Road Robotics teams, please be aware that a registration fee of $60 is required to cover the cost of competition, event fees, equipment, and t-shirts. Additional costs may be necessary for state and world events if their team qualifies.

We anticipate a large number of applicants to fill only 30 open spots (5 per team). Therefore, we would like to ensure the commitment of our members to their team. The link to register for the HRMS Robotics club is below:
