Today your student received a chromebook and charger at school.  Please work with your student to establish a routine where they charge it nightly, and remember to check to make sure they have put it in their book bag in the morning.  

Once your child connects to your home wi-fi they may see a white box asking them to login to z-scaler.  Students will use their email which is their username@cabarrus.k12.nc.us   Directions can also be found at https://www.cabarrus.k12.nc.us/241_4 

If you their chromebook is charged but will not turn on, please try this simple fix.  https://tinyurl.com/2r2upynx

• Press and hold the refresh key and power key for 5 second
• The battery light should flash, turn white, or turn orange
• Close the chromebook, reopen it, and wait 10 seconds before trying to turn it on

If a student has issues with their chromebook while at home, they should tell their homebase teacher when they arrive at school the next day.  They will then be allowed to go to the media center for help.
